| The iconography of the American eagle is the focus of this series of installations. Brooklyn Eagle was presented at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in the fall of 2005. The Eagle was installed as part of a solo show, Flight Power Love Tower at Jessica Murray Projects also in the Fall of 2005. Both wood and fluorescent tube constructions were suspended from the ceiling and have a wingspan of 25 feet. The hinged structures were manipulated and repositioned to create a stop-action animation. The animation, Power (2005), was then presented on a small flat screen monitor set into a sterling silver, hand-tooled, trophy belt buckle. |
